The girls loved the book How Do Dinosaurs Say Merry Christmas? so much, that I decided to make a sensory bin for some bookish play to go along with the book. Pairing books with a sensory bin or open ended play setup can help kids explore and process the concepts of the book in a playful way. This book was given to us by The Scholastic Store and it is a fantastic book!
"From decorating the tree to wrapping presents, little dinosaurs love to celebrate Christmas and everything about it. With ornaments on the branches and carolers singing at the door, the spirit of Christmas is finally here and filling the hearts of families everywhere. But when the stockings are hung on the chimney, and the cookies are left out for Santa, how can little dinosaurs go to sleep? It's so exciting! How can they possibly calm down and behave?" - Book Description from The Scholastic Store Website

Dying rice is so easy and doesn’t take a lot of time. Start by pouring rice in a ziplock bag, then add acrylic paint, seal the bag, and shake until all the rice is coated. Pour the rice on parchment paper (or wax paper) and let dry.
Do dinosaurs misbehave or are they super polite? What are some of the ways the dinosaurs were polite? What are some ways you can be polite? How do you feel when people are polite to you? When should we say thank you? When should we say I’m sorry?
