Apply liquid watercolors to the pre-cut leaves and watch as the colors spread and mix. Once they have dried (usually within a couple of hours) add designs to the leaves with chalk crayons.
What happens when you add color to the leaf? What color do you think you need to add to yellow to make green? What color are the leaves on the tree outside? Would you like to make a leaf like the ones we see outside? (obviously my kids opted for a rainbow version instead).
