DIY Sock Baby

One of the ways we reuse old sensory filler (instead of trashing it), is to make sock babies. They are so easy and always turn out so cute!

Supplies & Instructions

tube sock

old sensory filler (rice or beans are best)

rubber band

permanent marker

felt or fabric stickers

jar lid ring*

Fill the tube stock to the heel with sensory filler, tie a knot at the top, then add a rubber band to divide the head and body. Decorate the body with felt or fabric stickers, and draw a face with permanent marker.

*If you have a jar lid ring (I couldn't find ours) use it to hold the sock open. Slide the sock through the center of the ring then fold the edges of the sock over the ring. If you don't have a jar lid ring filling the sock will take two people, one to hold the sock open and one to pour the filler inside.
